This was another day when I was determined to use the food I already had before buying more to make meals for the day. The night before I realized the fresh fruit was pretty much gone. But my husband had bought a big watermelon earlier in the day. So I decided to make a smoothie out of that.
Watermelon alone makes a hydrating sweet tasting drink. But I wanted to add protein powder so wanted more substance. There were a few fresh blueberries in the refrigerator so those went in. Then I remembered the frozen mango chunks and added a handful of those. Now it had enough substance for the hemp protein powder. Tasty, fast and fresh. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
